Players Who Stayed at Current Club
Kim Bo-Kyung – Cardiff City
Lee Chung-Yong – Bolton Wanderers
Yoon Suk-Young – QPR
Park Chu-Young – Arsenal
Kim Young-Kiu – Almeria

So, in all, a bit of a mixed bag. Park Joo-Ho, Hong Jeong-Ho, and Son Heung-Min all seem to have moved a step forward. Koo Ja-Cheol and Ji Dong-Won seem to be a bit in the air (depending on how much they play). Ki Sung-Yueng’s seems to be a step back. Park Ji-Sung’s is of course a good move given his situation at QPR.

For those who stayed, good for Kim Bo-Kyung and Kim Young-Kiu. Terrible for Park Chu-Young. Mixed for Lee Chung-Yong who should play regularly, but worries about his growth and ability to perform at the highest level while spending another year in the Championship. Probably not great for Yoon Suk-Young, who will likely spend most of the year on the bench at QPR.

  1. Players that I am very confident and happy about

Son: Good club and all but dont get much spotlight and after seeing his performances, kind of think he is little overrated

Koo: Plays regularly, puts Hasebe on the bench

    Park Joo Ho: Always Starting

KimBo: Dont really have to say why Im happy

Hong: good to see CB in Europe

    • Well Son is only 21 years old and he has plenty of time for growth.
I’m sort of curious how Park Ju Young will turn out because he didn’t go any where even though Arsenal didn’t want him.

      • France’s Ligue 1 club posted on their website on Sunday that they have added Turkish striker Mevlut Erding from Rennes and Frenchman Yohan Mollo from Nancy to their roster.

Saint-Étienne were previously said to be torn between Erding and Park as they sought a new partner for Brazilian Brandao in attack.

The latest announcement suggests they have now lost interest in Park, who has struggled with the Gunners this season and is frustrated at his lack of match time with the team.

  2. I had a feeling Park wasn’t going anywhere in Europe the day he transferred to Arsenal, and it’s basically confirmed now. Unfortunately, I’ve lost almost complete hope. He’s better off going to the Middle East or back to Asia, where at least he’ll get playing time. He was excited at the prospect of wearing an Arsenal shirt, but he really should have stuck to Ligue 1. When he screwed Lille over at the last minute, it might have done awful things to his career because now he is having difficulty getting back into France. He could have done great things at Lille. Woulda, coulda, shoulda…
