K League week 13 results / week 14 midweek listing

The Tavern is working on a number of items re: post World Cup aftermath for team Korea. Meantime last weekend K-League Classic resumed action. As expected, there was a slight drop off in attendance. Results wise, save for 2 games, draws across the board.

Brief post, just results & a look towards midweek Wednesday action with round 14 getting underway.

K League Challenge Update
Tim barging in here… thought I might as well give a K-League Challenge update seeing that we haven’t really covered the second tier much during the World Cup. Basically the main thing of notice is Daejeon Citizen (much to my delight) leads the second tier by 15 points over Anyang FC in 2nd. Daejeon has suffered just two losses all year and are the definite frontrunners for the promotion ticket, but, the Police team, Ansan Police FC, are 21 points back but with 5 games in hand (since home games for that region were cancelled indefinitely due to the Sewol tragedy). Also the Police team beat Daejeon 6-1 last matchday, so who knows if there’s an epic comeback in the works. Other teams in the Promotion playoff picture (for the playoffs v the 11th place team of the K-League Classic) are Anyang as I mentioned, and former KLG Classic dwellers Daegu FC and Gangwon FC. Alright, back to Roy…
