KPA Update

Bayer Leverkusen

Son Heung Min – Featured in 2 friendlies since last update.
Ryu Seung Woo – Serving his 3 match suspension

Overview: Son Heung Min was the main focus when Leverkusen played FC Seoul. Played 90 minutes and had some nice passing sequence. As for Leverkusen’s performance in general? Very disappointing but they had issues with humidity, heat, and travel according to Schade, Voeller, and Roger Schmidt. Humidity played a large role in Leverkusen’s slack/slow pressing and the interchange between 4 attacking players weren’t as chaotic compared to previous friendlies.

For the 2nd friendly, you can watch the full replay from here.

  1. Why doesnt the KNT utilize Ji more as a CAM? Koo sucks balls as a CAM… and I think HKY’s career will become shit if he joins a QSL club… no Euro teams wanted him….?

  2. I can’t lie, I was psyched to see Ji had scored for BVB and opened his scoring account in pre-season. It looks like he’s doing ok so far and will actually give Klopp options up front.

    • Haha, I think you need to temper your expectations of Ji. Anyways, I should do in-depth tactical analysis and KPA’s outlook this season for each team but that’s a difficult piece to write.

      • Yeah maybe you’re right. In the meantime I forgot to give some mad props to Koo for scoring, that was a difficult shot to pull off. Good sign he’s getting back to decent form.
