Weekend Listings – And then it was over…

As nearly as quickly as it came, it has gone. The EPL and Bundesliga seasons are wrapping up this weekend, packing up for the summer before it returns in August. We might get treated to one final Korean derby after all, as Crystal Palace takes on Swansea.

Sunday 10:00 AM Ki Sung Yueng Swansea @Crystal Palace E! / NBC Extra Time

According to Bild, Ji Dongwon hasn’t been around for training, while Hong Jeongho could be starting.

Son Heungmin and Kim Jinsu are expected to start. Kim says he is satisfied with his season but wants to reach Europe next season.

Koo Jacheol and Park Jooho have minor knocks as they finish the season in Munich.

I have no idea what Oxygen and E! are, but that’s where you’ll find Lee Chungyong vs Ki Sungyueng’s derby. Ki was named Supporters’ Player of the Year – the top accolade for a Swansea player – and said that this season has been “perfect” and “has been the best of my career, both as a team and as an individual”.

In the K League:

Saturday, May 23
Jeju United
2:00 AM
Dragons
Jeonbuk
3:00 AM
Incheon
Sunday, May 24
Gwangju FC
1:00 AM
Busan IPark
Monday, May 25
Ulsan
1:00 AM
Steelers

Two fixtures were mysteriously rescheduled for a weekend in June. We get to witness another South East derby between Ulsan and Pohang on Monday, a 3 points that both teams would love to get their hands on, while Jeju-Jeonnam is a duel of two teams with top half aspirations. Jeonbuk will hope to stretch its lead on top of the table with a win over Incheon, while Gwangju and Busan, who in all likelihood will make up the rear end of the table, meet for the 2nd time this season. In their last encounter at the Asiad, it was a free kick derby. Will we see equally bizarre things this weekend?
