Bombshell in FIFA land with Sepp Blatter, Platini and Chung-Mung-Joon all suspended by FIFA’s ethics committee, but first -fashionably late, I know, but in 10 minutes kickoff will be underway for a World Cup Qualifier at Kuwait. Straightforward 4-2-3-1 formation by Stielike who is without Lee Chung-Yong or Son Heung-Min to minor injuries – expected to be routine for KNT (but one never knows). Here’s the starting XI:
Yonhap reports this will be Korea's XI (4231)
Kim SG; Jang HS, Kwak TH, Kim YG, Park JH; Ki SY, Jung WY; Nam TH, Kwon CH, Koo JC; Suk HJ

and this morning the US woke to this news of Sepp Blatter and Platini both suspended for 90 days, thus ending the reign of Blatter. Shakeup is muddled by scandal compromised FIFA undersecretaries replacing Blatter – but we look to the effective end of Chung Mong-Joon’s bid for FIFA presidency with his 6 year ban and $100,000+ fine for schemes to get 2022 World Cup back to Korea.
We’ll have more on this later, but kickoff is underway. Dae Han Min Guk!
Give me some analysis of the game. Looks like it was a chippy affair judging by number of yellowcards handed out. I cannot get the live feed therefore I have to rely on you guys for the game summary. Nice to see our boys win in the hostile environment.
