Son Heung-Min netted his 12th goal of the season for Hamburg as their side ganged up on Hoffenheim by a score of 4-1. Son nearly got one past Hoffenheim’s keeper in the 3rd minute. His 2nd opportunity came in the 18th minute and it did not miss. It was a terrific header, assist by Dennis Diekmeier. Take a look:
In the 28th minute, Son threaded a lovely pass to Jircek, who shot just wide of the post. Son did all the work in the 35th minute to set up Hamburg’s 2nd goal by rounding Casteel, Hoffenheim’s doomed keeper – then sent a laser accurate pass to Aogo running toward the far post to tap it in. 2 more goals later and it was all but over.
This video also shows Son’s assist to Aogo. Son was beasting it up, no doubt, take a look:
Meanwhile over to Munich, Bayern fronted their top squad (that squad rested last weekend in the non-game that was the Bayern Munich/Borussia Dortmund match that neither side took seriously). Augsburg brought the game to Bayern a handful of times, and Ji Dong-Won was one of the players pressing Bayern to break open the match. Close but no goal – giving the hosts all the chance they needed to put down the Bavarian insurrection with a scoreline of 3-0, a symbolic victory to go off into the sunset; post match Bayern celebrated their 23rd Bundesliga title. The glass could be looked at as half full for Augsburg however. While they do hold the relegation playoff spot, all the other actors in the battle to avoid relegation all lost on Saturday, including Fortuna Dusseldorf, who holds the spot of safety that Augsburg so desperately seeks. Both Dusseldorf and Augsburg are even on points, save for goal differential. Next week, the last regulation game could be the escape Augsburg are looking for when they face last place Gruether Furth. NOTE: Koo Ja-Cheol was back from injury and in the 18 man roster on Saturday. He did get on the pitch, coming on in the 65th minute for Jan Moravek.
And the rest of the roundup:

Spain
Celta Vigo F Park Chu-Young, foot bone break and out for rest of the season. Celta lost 0-1 to Real Betis. They are in the relegation zone, 3 points from safety.

QPR D Yun Suk-Young, not in 18 man roster.
Swansea M Ki Sung-Yeung, not in 18 man roster, leg injury in Swansea’s 1-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson’s last game as manager after 27 years. Manchester celebrated post match their 13th league title under Ferguson. Should be interesting at Man U with David Moyes taking over next July. A new world order – could it be anyone’s title for the taking next year?
