This weekend we’ve got two goals from KJC and SHJ, a very good performance from SHM against West Ham, but dismal pretty much everywhere else. Ki and KJS were lackluster compared to usual and many of the KPA were not even in the squad, perhaps indicating they need some rest after the international friendlies (?)

First off we’ve got Suk Hyun Jun’s long range free kick against Casa Pia, a 3rd division Portugese side:
Thank god Augsburg won 4-0 because 1. they really needed that win since they were bottom of the table (but now it’s Hoffenheim 🙁 so just as bad) and 2. it was their biggest win in the Bundesliga ever, which should be a big confidence booster for the fixtures to come. A page with highlights is here – click on the 4th goal to see KJC’s goal.
Then we’ve got a glittering outing from Son Heung Min against West Ham where he got an assist but also showed some very good defensive coverage, passing, and decision making – perhaps this move to Pocchetino was for the better because his game has noticeably improved in many aspects that were stalling under Schmidt.
And a little analysis of SHM’s outing can be found in this vid around the 15:00 mark – I’ve included a link to 14:50 to get you started
And that my friends, is about it for the KPA
But you know what’s really interesting going on right now? The K LEAGUE RELEGATION/PROMOTION BATTLE! Daegu FC (my hometown team) stupidly missed their chance to get automatic promotion after getting a draw the other day, which means the league actually goes to Sangju Sangmu (they really are THAT team that keep going back and forth between division 1 and 2), and Daegu will have to playoff. Too bad 🙁
You know what else is too bad? Daejeon getting relegated – they have some hot stars in that team (Seo Myung Won, Hwang In Beom, Ko Min Hyeok, etc.) and I’m sorry Tim but maybe they might be better served moving to a mid table K League Classic team 🙁
