Christmas time is here… which can only mean one thing: it’s time for a bit of chippy semi-violence on the pitch. Well, it’s hard to call what happened yesterday violence exactly, but enough for Bayern Munich’s Ribery to get a red card suspension for slapping Koo in the face. For his part in the mele (including what could’ve been a slap to Ribery that the ref didn’t catch), the hot tempered Koo received a yellow card.
Though it all went down near the beginning of the 2nd half, FC Augsburg didn’t take advantage -ultimately losing this midweek German cup match 2-0 to Bayern Munich. Koo was lively on the ball, got in some good shots at goal, but no cigar.
Meanwhile in another German Cup match result, Fortuna Dusseldorf lost to Kickers Offenbach 2-0. Cha Du-Ri came in the 2nd half in the 69th minutes for Ken Ilso, a forward for Dusseldorf.
