Week listings and previews for our Korean Player Abroad. This was an interesting week, the KFA Olympic team won 2-0 in a friendly match against UAE. Goals were provided by Lee Yong-Jae and our Maknae/youngest player on the team Hwang Hee-Chan. The Olympic team will be facing Saudi Arabia today 11:20pm Korean time. Another hot topic was Suk Hyun-Jun’s transfer rumors, he has been linked to quite a few clubs ranging from FC Porto, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Celtic, Mainz and Hoffenheim. We expect a move announced soon but many people are saying that he will stay in the Portuguese League and join FC Porto.

Winter break continues for other leagues except for the English Premier League, English Championships and Portuguese League.

Day Time (ET) Player Club Opponent
Saturday 10:00AM Lee Chung-Yong Crystal Palace @Southampton (FA Cup)
Saturday 10:00AM Yun Suk-Young QPR @Nottingham Forest (FA Cup)
Sunday 7:00AM Ki Sung-Yueng Swansea City @Oxford United (FA Cup)
Sunday 11:00AM Son Heung-Min Tottenham Hotspur Leicester City (FA Cup)
Monday 3:00PM Suk Hyun-Jun Vitoria Setubal @Pacos de Ferreira

Lee Chung-Yong started last week, hurray how long has that been. Although Crystal Palace got hammered by Chelsea 0-3 and Lee was later subbed off. I expect him to either start of make bench this week against Southampton.

Yun Suk-Young still hasn’t been making the squad list these last couple of months. I expect him to be out of the squad list this week too or either be benched. Maybe a move this transfer window is what Yun needs.

Ki Sung-Yueng is a vital player for Swansea, I expect him to either start or be benched against Oxford United. If benched, he is probably given a time out by the club.

Son Heung-Min has been only making bench appearances, although this week is a FA Cup match. With it being against Leicester City I expect him to either start of be benched this week. Hopefully he starts and scores a goal. 🙂

Suk Hyun-Jun is said to be making a move this transfer window, maybe this will be his final match with Vitoria Setubal.

On the side note,  Happy 18th Birthday to our Barcelona youngster Lee Seung-Woo.
