Notes:
- A lot of draws this round (4 of the 6 ties ended level), so not a lot of change in the table
- Pohang remains slight favorites for final AFC CL spot
- Jeonnam is only relegation half team completely safe
- Busan needs a point next weekend to guarantee their safety
- Incheon needs a win to guarantee their safety
- Gyeongnam, Seongnam, and Sangju are all still capable of being auto-relegated.
K League Challenge Results – Round 36
Goyang Hi 0 – 0 Gwangju FC
Suwon FC 1 – 2 Gangwon FC
FC Anyang 2 – 2 Daegu FC

Notes:
- Last round for K League Challenge
- Daejeon are automatically promoted
- Ansan, Gangwon, and Gwangju go to playoffs
- Ansan receives first round bye, will face winner of Gangwon-Gwangju
- Anyang misses out on playoffs on goal difference
hey, what was the format again for k-league challenge promotion playoffs?
Third vs fourth. Winner of 3/4 game vs second. Winner of that game vs 11th place Classic team. So, as things stand it’ll go:
Gangwon vs Gwangju
Gangwon/Gwangju vs Ansan
Gangwon/Gwangju/Ansan vs Seongnam
thanks!
Hey jae,
(Man I like how “hey jae” sounds)
Anyways it seems like so many korean players (especially wingers) are converted to CAM, kbk, jdw, lcy, nth, just to name some. Even guys like son are playing a lot more centrally. Why do you think this happens? Are the skills that are emphasized in korea good for playmakers or something? Is it because the evolution of the game? I don’t know I was just curious and I would like to hear your thoughts.
Probably because it rhymes. Anyway, it’s certainly a possibility. Korea’s better players do tend to be stronger in the technical side of things (rather than physical or tactical). I suspect a lot of them are converted into central attackers because they have decent technical ability, but also because they lack the necessary abilities to play in other positions (winger, center forward, central midfield).
